House was the first in the series of four house-projects. More than 50 students from Fine Art and Architecture at the University of Newcastle worked together with students and staff from Newcastle College to simultaneously construct and de-construct the two identical shells of
house using red brick and training mortar. The work was formulated as a structure equivalent to two intersecting storeys of a typical English house juxtaposed with each other in rotational symmetry.
House was realised at part of the Connecting Principle Event 2002, Newcastle.
